My Journey
I had the perfect life - a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Information Systems, my dream job as a Business Analyst with an up and coming hotel company in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was married, and my husband and I had our home custom built in the city. I was very involved with the local church and had many supportive friends.
Then, it all fell apart.
In a short few months in 2009 I won a fight with cancer, survived a divorce from a 15 year marriage and lost my dream job and home due to an economic decline. After promising myself I would never be in this position; I found myself jobless, homeless, without a partner, and recovering from an invasive surgery. My friends and family were amazed. They told me I was the strongest they had ever seen me.
I was seeking comfort, love, strength and peace.
I was blessed with an excellent support system of friends and family, but I still felt a deep anguish in my spirit and began to seek answers to questions such as: Who am I? What is real? Who is God? Does prayer really make a difference? Is there something more out there?
This is when I looked to the Universal Energy and the Divine
to begin exploring these questions.
In 2013, I completed "The Art of Spiritual Direction" program at Stillpoint, The Center for Christian Spirituality (stillpointca.org) in Pasadena, California. I am now a Spiritual Director, guiding others in the exploration of these and many other questions. In 2017, I received certification as a Crystal Reiki Master. Always hoping to learn more, I will continue to study energy and other healing modalities as I continue along my spiritual path.
